An "In-Advance Holiday Trip" To Pengarang

Dad decided to organise an outing trip to Pengarang for some fresh seafood. The day finally arrive and Uncle Hock gave us a lift to the ferry teminal.
By rite i was supposed to upload all these photos since our trip last sunday but onli until now i have the time to load these photos.

As we reached very early, Adam and I walked around the place to snap some photos while waiting for the rest.

The terminal for the "Sampan" boats.

And some ferry...

What a beautiful view of Changi beach.....

Oh...been here so many times and I didn't realise that there's a notice to inform visitors where to proceed for boat ride.

Still waiting for the rest & its been half an hour...

All the passports are with me for safekeeping.

Finally we set off.

Its a beautiful day sunday.
Erm...who is tis uncle eating melon seeds on the sampan? Oh its Adam! Cool ya, tis is his leisure on board. haha...
Everyone seems excited about the trip, anxious about reaching soon.

And finally we reach the custom, took a cab to Uncle David's restaurant. As it was already late, we didn't managed to go for breakfast at the hotel or coffeeshop.

While waiting for the food to be serve, I went "shopping" at the minimart next door.

Here comes the 1st dish~Fried Malaysia Style Hokkien Noodles.

Steamed promfets.

Steamed lobsters.

Steamed gong gong, and there are steps to follow when you wanna get it out of the shell.

Adam's demo on how to get it out;

1st, take a gong gong

Next, use a toothpick to dig, erm...not for gold but for the flesh.

Got it, slowly pull it out with the toothpick.

Coming out soon.

Ta rang......here it is.

Front view of gong gong

Side view of it, best serve with wasabi or chili.

After eating gong gong, u will have tis kinda "gong gong" look. Silly rite?

Por pu por pu...here come the horn sound of mobile beancurd stall. Uncle guang went out to buy some while I follow out to snap some pic.

Stall owner bz preparing orders.

Wow...i didn't noe that to sell food on tis island muz have a license. I still tot its illegal vendors.

Here comes our soup of the day.

Uncle Orr bz serving us.

Next is Kong Ba Boa

Sandwich braised meat in between the mantou and enjoy!

As usual, some red wines to pair up with the seafood.

Eversince Adam turns 18, assume that he already obtained "License" for drinking. He couldn't help but keep serving himself with the wine.

I prefer chinese tea.

The restaurant is packed with customers as there are many coaches bringing in more customers here for lunch.

Hotplate wild boar meat.

Steamed sharks' head in special sauce.

see the 2 uncles enjoying the fantastic dish

Dad was being serve with the whole bone of the fish head.

Wow...Dad is bz scraping the flesh off the bone.

Uncle Zhen was trying to convince us into drinking Johnnie Walker Green Label liquor.

Uncle Oor ask us to bring the shark's bone back to Singapore, erm...dun think so ba, not as if its so special stuff! haha...

I went for a walk around the town with Adam. The fruit stall which sells fresh and sweet fruits, oh well, its oso the 1 and onli fruit stall.

The famous tau sar piah shop.

Look at the crowd inside, wonder wat are they looking at?! Let mi go in and kpo.

Ooh... piping hot patries...

And some sweet tau sar piah.

Having been here so many times, haven got a chance to try Marybrown. Since it's a super hot day, we decided to go in for a drink and enjoy aircon. Tempted by the smell of fried chicken, decided to order a pc or 2 to try. Ordered a platter instead. Hmm...delicious! The chicken is sooo tender. Taste better than KFC.

Back to Uncle David's restaurant after a long walk and Adam stack up 3 chairs to sit. Juz like how a toddler sits. haha...

Uncle David serve us some iced longan

And honey sea coconut as desserts. After a cooling dessert, Uncle David and wife getting ready as they are coming back to Singapore with us.

Back to the pier waiting for the sampan going back to Singapore.

I took some phamplets on tourism on Malaysia.

Back to Uncle Hock's van and Adam was exhausted. He makes himself comfortable by lying down with legs up.

While I was bz snapping pic of all the goodies we bought 2day.

Wow...I took out the tidbits and Adam sits up to snacks on the tidbits. We had a mini picnic on board. haha....

In final conclusion, we had a whole day of fun eating! (",)
