Pan Fried Yam Kueh

Mum steamed so yam kueh while i was away in HongKong last week. Since i've yet had a chance to eat, mum kept them in the freezer for mi. I decided to pan fry some for our lunch today. I'm in for a big treat as mum knows i love lots & lots of mushrooms, the yam kueh was full of shrooms. I'm loving it!

Ingredients;
Frozen yam kueh
Beaten egg
Oil for pan frying
Chopped scallions
Roasted sesame seeds

Sauce;
Hei bee hiam
Hoisin sauce
Dark soy sauce
Water

Method;
-Cut yam kueh into slices, dipped into beaten egg.
-In an oiled frying pan, pan fried till golden brown on both sides.
-Mix the sauces together.
-Serve yam kueh with sauce & garnishes.
-Enjoy!

Cheesy Potato Pops With Ham Bits

I been craving for breaded creamy potatoes for almost a week. Didn;t haf an opportunity to do so yeaterday & decided to cook them today despite having too many dishes for dinner.

Ingredients;
3 medium potatoes, steamed & mashed
2 slices of picnic ham, diced
2 slices cheddar cheese, diced
Pinch of salt
Oil for deep frying

Coating;
Flour
Beaten egg
Breadcrumbs

Method,
-Mix the 1st 4 ingredients together.
-Coat hands with flour, scoop a tsp of mixture & shaped them.
-Roll onto flour, followed by beaten egg, den into breadcrumbs.
-Continue until potato mixture finishes.
-Chill the potato pops in fridge till set.
-Deep fried till golden brown.
-Serve with chili sauce.
-Enjoy!

Asian Pizza~Savoury Shrimp Pancake

A creative snack for tea break~Pizza with an asian twist. Oh well, it is actually savoury shrimp pancake with some toppings.

Ingredients;
Plain flour
Water
Egg
Pinch of salt
Shrimps, remove shell & veins, diced
Oil for frying

Garnishes;
Home-made chili sauce
Shredded lettuce
Roasted sesame seeds

Method;
-Mix the 1st 4 ingredients together to form batter.
-Stir in shrimps.
-On a non-stick frying pan, heat some oil.
-Pour in batter & swirl around the pan.
-Fry till golden brown on both sides.
-Cut into 8 triangles, spread with sauce.
-Top with lettuce & sprinkle some sesame seeds over.
-Enjoy!

Gathering Dinner @ Tabby's House

Tabby organised a gathering dinner on the day b4 halloween nite & invited some frens to her house. I been bz with the Deepavali party preparations recently & i tot i can enjoy an evening of fun with the kids.
Oh well, b4 every enjoyment, there are bound to hafe hardships. I gotto help in cooking for the dinner. Haiz... no choice cuz tt's my forte! haha....

Vera came in the afternoon and was happliy playing with my earrings while i marinate the food.

Marc boy with a table full of food. Marc is so sweet, whenever i bring out a dish, he would request to snap a photo with every dish i prepare. So sweet of him!

Chill Out @ The Living Room (JB)

We gals decided to chill out in JB again. Not being able to decide where to haf our dinner, we decided to drop by Living Room, a cafe which we yet to have a chance to patronise.

Tabby's Birthday Dinner @ Changi Beach Club

Tabby decided to give all of us a treat to changi beach club for her birthday celebration. She signed up for membership sometimes back and she's so proud to announce that this club only entertain members therefore we should feel honored to be invited.

Wow... my favourite Tiramisu cake! It looks nice but taste below average. We were commenting that Tabby can make better tiramisu. haha...
