Wat's for dessert after a hearty meal? Well, i walked around the mall in search for something unique. I've read about Ooki Taiyaki the nite before and so glad that I found it in Nex.
Cool, i managed to bought the last red bean paste flavour.
And it's in a shape of fish! The red beans are mushy and not too sweet, blend in juz nice with the crispy batter. :-) I'm gonna try their other flavours next time round.
These cute little chiffons caught my attention when I passed by Cake History in TPY the other day. Can't resist temptation, i decided to give it a try!
Chocolate chip bread with green tea chiffon cake.
I simply love the combi of sweet fluffy red bean with the not so sweet matcha chiffon. Hmm... yummy~licious.
I was at Toa Payoh earlier on and saw a long Q at Tiong Bahru Bao and snacks. Out of curiosity, went forward to take a look at the freshly steamed buns and freshly baked snacks. I'm always an egg tart lover as compared to steam buns. Hence I bought a few home to share with my family.
Pastry skin is flaky, but the fillings taste abit sweet to me. Well, as compared I would still prefer those from selegie beancurd. But the ones which i missed most are from Hk Honolulu cafe! :-(
This is the shop name and I look forward to trying other selections from the outlet on my next visit!
Aunty Margaret and Uncle Jo hadf to attend a wedding dinner at Hilton Hotel and after sending them to the hotel, Tab and i decided to have a shopping spree at Wheelock followed by coffee chill out at Robert Timmes and it was a truly delightful experience.
A very significant picture of Australia on the menu.
We order the above delicious sinful desserts to chill out over coffee and gosh, my pincolo latte is super 'huge' where i dun bear to finish it at 1 go! Lolz....
Another dish which brings back sweet memories for mum. A snacks where she likes to buy for her siblings during her teenage years. During that time, mum juzt stepped out into the society to work and earning her 1st few wages. At that time, as economic wasn't that good, she has ti think twice b4 buying anything. The banana balls is cheap and good and huge portion as well. Hence, she loves buying these to share with uncles.

I realize that eating dessert outside isn't as cheap as what you think it would be. I help Kate 'ta bao' a bowl of glutinous rice dessert with ginger sweet syrup the other day, and it costs $2.1 for a small pathetic bowl with only 3 pieces of rice dumplings and 2 pieces of dried longans. Scary rite? Ya ya... not forgetting pple still have top pay for rental, gas etc.... Ok but i prefer to cook my own, at least it is enough for our whole family to eat. :-P
