1 Day AMK Makan Trip

I been wanting to organise a making trip where we go round singapore to savour the popular and delicious dishes. Remembered that I once did a makan trip in chinatown and today it was Ang Mo Kio, another well like place with popular food.

Wanton noodles~ i love their not so lean and not so fat char siew most! lolz...

Fried carrot cake from the most popular fried carrot cake stall. Well, this stall is very famous within AMK.

Mum's favourite dessert! Ice kachang. Cheap and good, onli cost $1.30 for a huge serving. With plenty of grass jelly, red beans and atap chee below. Yummy!

After shopping for awhile, we felt thirsty and time for Gong Cha!

A well popular bubble tea franchise and Adam gotto wait sometimes for our tea.

A milk tea and a caramel milk tea. (Actually i ordered a camomile tea but Gong Cha staff prepared the wrong order! :-( no choice ba, even though i dun like sweet tea! )

Next stop, Happy Veg, our favourite fried vegetable fritters!

Wow... a variety to choose from. With prawns, shishamo, yam, chives, crabmeat stick etc...

Here's the logo for happy veg, it's also a franchise i guess!

My fav is still the chives. Wow... hot and crispy fritters serve with chili sauce. Yummy!

Last but not least, need to ta bao my favourite Tip Top curry puffs home!

The caramel milk tea is too sweet for mi and i bring home and add my unsweetened coffee to it and it becomes caramel yuan yang ~ a new creation! haha...

Oh ya, i bought a food flask, it can keep food warm and even a soup! Well, decided to bring my own lunch to work in future.

Texas Chicken

Been hearing so much positive comments on texas chicken and finally I get a chance to savor them. They are indeed better than kfc, at least they dun have the funny 'stale oil' smell. Erm, the impression which they gave me is some sort of popeye chicken alike as they also have the bread/biscuit.

Here's our family feast!

Original flavour...

Hot and spicy... to me, they are super spicy and i need more than 1 serving of drinks. lolz... well, at least their biscuit taste much more better than popeyes'.

Giant coleslaw and bid fries! I'm gonna try their burgers on my next visit as 1 of the burger posters makes it looks so tempting!

King's Laksa Steamboat

Our siblings gathering was much delayed this month and finally, we had the chance to drop by this restaurant to try out their laksa steamboat.

I love the cosy nice ambience

Wow.. they even have lunch special at only $8.80

Free flow of giant glass of iced lemon tea

Super hungry, can't wait to eat but still have to wait for our Dear Adam to decide wat he wanna eat.

Our 2 types of soup base are ready! Laksa and chicken.....

Some fried snacks b4 our hotpot. Fried wanton & Deep fried tofu with thai chili sauce, yummy~licious!

Spring rolls and chicken nuggets...

Prawn paste chicken wings, best eaten while hot and crispy.

Here come our spread!

My all time fav pork belly slices... best eaten with sesame sauce and sweet chili sauce.

The 2 bros are enjoying and

Adam's facial expression shows that he's annoyed with Jesper putting the uncooked food back into the pot to cook. Ee...yucks! Lolz...
