鼓汁苦瓜片

I bought a huge bittergourd sometimes back and its been lying in the fridge for a while. Been cooking soup with some of it, left the remaining small portion, i decided to cook with xi chup.

Its goes great with plain rice. Yummy yummy...
Ingredients;
1/4 bittergourd
2 baby carrots, cut into sticks
1 clove garlic

1 chili padi, chopped
1/2 tsp preserved black beans, chopped
1/2 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tsp chili paste
Dash of sugar
Pinch of salt
Oil for frying
3oml water
Roasted sesame seeds

Method;
-Cut bittergourd into 6 strips, remove seeds and shred into thin strips.
-Fry garlic, chili and black beans with oil till fragrant.
-Stir in carrots, fry for a min.
-Fry bittergourd till soft, add water and cover with lid.
-Stir in seasonings and sauce.
-Sprinkle sesame seeds over and serve.

*If u prefer more gravy, u may add in more water.
