Leek Flower Stir Fry

Vegetables are classified into different type like leafy, roots, steam and so on. I'm not a fan of green leafy vegetables even have more vitamins as compared to the other classes. I would prefer veggie like brinjal, leek, cabbage etc... There was once i was so crazy over leek flower that i had them almost every day or even twice a day when i bought my lunch or dinner from the coffeeshop. I will always patronise mixed vegetables rice stalls which tis dish for sale on that day.

Ingredients;
1 bunch leek flower

1 piece tau kua
1 strip pork belly, cut into small pieces
1 clove garlic, minced

Pinch of salt
Oil for frying
2 tbsp water

Method;
-Cut leek flower into length of 3cm, peel off the outer layer of the stem.
-Soak in water for about 20mins, drained.
-Cut tau kua into small pieces, pan fry till golden brown, drained.
-Fry garlic in some oil till fragrant, toss in meat till turn colour.
-Add leek flower and fry till semi soft, add water and salt.
-Followed by tau kua, cover with lid to simmer for 3-5 mins.
-Serve & enjoy!
