Went to the supermarket & come across some real fresh broccoli from china. Broccoli is 1 of my favourite veggie & do u noe that china is 1 of the country which produces the most broccoli. She produces 8,000,000 over tonnes of broccoli since 2008. I'm so stunned to see that figure.
I remembered when i young, i only eat love broccolis from Australia as they tends to be sweeter, but more expensive. On the otherhand, china broccolis haf a slight bitter taste. Maybe its due to the rain flow in china recently or izzit myself, i dind that the broccoli which i bought tis time doesn't taste bitter at all. With lard being added to dishes, thought its not healthy but its soooo delicious. Well, for once i'm going for unhealthy choice of lard. haha....
Ingrdients;
1 broccoli, cut into forests
1 small carrot, cut into strips
6 straw mushrooms, sliced
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tbsp lard bits
Pinch of salt
1 tbsp oyster sauce
30ml water
Lard oil for frying
Method;
-Fry garlic in lard oil till fragrant.
-Add carrot strips, fry for 2 mins.
-Stir in broccoli & water, fry for another 2 mins.
-Add straw mushrooms, lard bits & seasonings.
-Contunue to fry till broccoli cooked but still crunchy.
-Enjoy!
