Steamed Siew Mai

It was a last min decision to prepare siew mai. I been craving for it for onli few hrs & with my fast & efficient speed, it's ready within an hour.
Hmm...yum yum, it reali goes well with spicy chili sauce.

Ingredients;
300g minced pork
150g minced prawns
3 large water chestnut, chopped
2 dried mushrooms, soaked
1 tbsp light soy sauce
Dash of salt
Some MSG
Dash of pepper
1½ tbsp sesame oil
½ tbsp potato starch
Wanton skin
Bowl of water
Oil for greasing
2 baby carrot, grated

Method;
-Grease a large steaming plate with oil.
-Mix the 1st 9 ingredients together, set aside in fridge for 30 mins.
-Stir in potato starch till well blended.
-To wrap siew mai, lay spoonful of mixture onto wanton skin, gather sides of the skin & pressed firmly to make into shape of siew mai.
-Dip siew mai into water to wet it lightly.
-Lay onto a plate, top with grated carrots.
-Steam on high heat for 20-25 mins or until cooked.
-Serve with chili sauce.
-Enjoy!
