Dinner @ Tung Lok Restaurant

In celebration of Tabby's b-day, i was being invited to her dinner at Tung Lok Restaurant at East Coast.
The food were fantastic but the travelling wise, er hmph.....haiz...We lost our way, from sengkang drove up to tampines, to pasir ris, to changi, to pasir ris again b4 we found our way to east coast. In short, it took us nearly an hour b4 we reach the restaurant.
We were starving by time we reached the restaurant. It was my 1st time at Tung Lok, food is not cheap. For the dishes we had, total bill comes up to $450++. WOW...
Sashimi~Tabby's favourite. Aunty Margaret says tabby is the b-day gal, she where dare dun order her favourite food. haha...so funny!

Fresh oysters~Natalie's favourite. Well, she onli eats salmon & oyster. Expensive taste ya! keke....

Pipa duck~Janurius's favourite.
When we lost our way earlier on, feeling so hungry, jan was boasting to us,trying to tempt us how delicious & yummy it was.
It was delicious indeed, but when u r feeling hungry & some pple are describing bout food to u, the feeling is so sickening rite? haha....
Spring onion flowers & cucumber flowers to be eaten together with the pipa duck.
Remaining portion of the pipa duck being serve with sauce.

Seasoned jelly fish & special tofu.
The tofu is being fried until crispy, drizzled with a braised dark soy sauce. Yummy...but it will taste better if the braised sauce has herbal taste.

B-day gal's alltime favourite~Wasabi mayo prawns.Sooo...delicious.

Fish maw soup~Initially i tot its being cooked in pumpkin broth, but after checking out with the waitress, the stock was being cook with fat hen & carrots, simmer over long hours b4 it reached tis colour.

Yam ring~b4 i could take a pic of it, the waitress already cut the ring up into pieces. If onli i could act faster. keke....

Cai poh steamed with ba ting fish~texture of the fish is soft & smooth, not much bones. Heard fm Aunty Rosa that the fish costs nearly $100. Wow...high grade fish ya.

Braised e-fu noodles with shredded duck~it goes great with green chili pickles. I love it.
Here's the best & my favourite part of the dinner~~~Dessert time. Yeah.....Whenever attenting a 8 course or 9 course dinner, i most look forward the the starter & dessert. haha....
Each of us get to choose different kind of dessert & i make it a point that b4 they eat muz let mi snap a pic of the food. Well, cuz i'm a food blogger.haha.....
Janurius's Lime shobert with lemon grass jelly

Most of us ordered Mango pudding, that includs tabby & I.

Melanie & Aunt Rosa's Peanut tang yuan.

Nicholas's Hrbal jelly with honey.

Uncle Jo's Yang Zhi Gan Lu (Pomelo in mango sauce)
