Char Siew Hor Fun & Char Siew Rice

Char siew hor fun brings back memories of my secondary school days. I remembered eating tis hor fun at least 3 times a week during recess time. Hey, its considered cheap for hor fun with char siew, wanton & veggie for onli $1. YES, onli
a dollar for a meal but u gotto be quick. If u come abit late like 10mins passed for the recess time, it will be completely sold out.
Since i made more char siew today & had some hor fun which i bought yesterday, decided to cook char siew hor fun for lunch today. Let mum be aware of wat good deal i used to get in school. haha.....
Ingredients;
250g hor fun
Pinch of salt
1 tsp light soy sauce
Oil for frying
Roasted char siew
Boiled chye sim
Boiled wanton
Gravy;
Leftover char siew sauce
Water
Oyster sauce
Hoisin sauce
Sugar
Chili paste
Corn flour water
Method;
-Marinade hor fun with salt & soy sauce, let stand for 10 mins.
-Fry hor fun with oil for 5-8mins, remove & place on serving dish.
-To prepare sauce, mix all ingredients together, except cornflour water.
-Bring sauce to boil, simmer & stir in thickening agent.
-To serve, assemble fry hor fun, boiled veggie, wanton & char siew.
-Drizzle sauce over, serve with green chili pickles.
-Enjoy!
I prepared some char siew rice for Adam & Jesper. They are the type that muz haf rice to keep them full. haha...
