I been thinking of fried mee tai bak since the day i saw someone ordered it for breakfast at a coffeeshop few days ago. Well, i'm easily tempted....especially when it comes to food.
I seldom take fried mee tai bak so i prefers to have it being cooked in soup. Erm...in fact tis is my 2nd time eating fried mee tai mak.
In order to satisfy my crave, i bought the necessary ingredients fm the supermarket when i knock off juz now. Once i'm home, cook & eat it. Yum yum...great. But i oso dunno its for lunch or dinner cuz its neither here nor there. haha...can call it teabreak ba. keke....
Ingredients;
500g mee tai mak
A handful of beansprouts
Some chives, cut into 3cm length
3 large prawns
1 fishcake
2 eggs
3 crabmeat stick
2 clove garlic, minced
Oil for frying
Sauce;
2 tsp rojak flower sambal chili paste
1 tsp light soy sauce
3/4 tsp dark soy sauce
1/2 tsp sugar
1 tsp oyster sauce
2 tbsp water/stock
pinch of salt
Method;
-Rinse & drain mee tai mak.
-Remove shells & veins from prawns, cut into cubes.
-Cut seafood stick into small pieces.
-Cut fishcake into strips.
-Oiled the wok, scrambled eggs & remove.
-Fry garlic till fragrant, add beansprouts & chives.
-Fry till 70% cooked, remove.
-Fry the other ingredients till done, add mee tai mak continue to fry for a min.
-Add sauce, continue to fry for another 2 mins.
-Return veggie & eggs to wok, continue to fry for 3 mins.
-Adding more stock if mixture is too dry.
-Serve immediately.
-Enjoy!
