砂煲生面
I was 1st being introduce to 生面 by my granny when i was 6 yrs old.At that time, I dunno wat tis noodles is called but i onli noe that i love it becoz of its texture & the thick soup base of the noodles.Therefore, i will always tell mum i wanna eat the yellow noodle which granny always cook.
Pipping hot claypot noodles, gotto let it soak in the claypot for another 5-6 mins to soften, sprinkle with fried shallots. Soooo fantastic.Ingredients;1 handful of 生面Some hot waterSome dried shrimp1 bunch of chye sim1 fishcake, slicedSome lean meat slices1 eggPinch of salt1 tbsp oilSome lard bitsMethod;-Bring water to boil, add soaked dried shrimp.-Add noodles & oil, let it boil for 3-5mins.-Add the remaining ingredients & seasonings.-Add more water as & when required.-Crack in an egg, cover with lid & off heat.-Let stand for 5 mins to soften noodles, sprinkle with fried shallots & serve.-Enjoy!
