Mum wasn't feeling well yesterday and onli cooked some fried rice for dinner. As she cooked too much, she set aside 1 bowl for my bento today. My bento consist of
-Sausage fried rice (chicken franks, fish cakes, scrambled eggs, sweet peas)
I warmed up the rice by frying them with some home-made chili paste, added a stalk of boiled siow pek chye for more greens.

Late Nite Coffee & Desserts @ Robert Timms

Aunty Margaret and Uncle Jo hadf to attend a wedding dinner at Hilton Hotel and after sending them to the hotel, Tab and i decided to have a shopping spree at Wheelock followed by coffee chill out at Robert Timmes and it was a truly delightful experience.

A very significant picture of Australia on the menu.

We order the above delicious sinful desserts to chill out over coffee and gosh, my pincolo latte is super 'huge' where i dun bear to finish it at 1 go! Lolz....

‘咸水饺'的魅力

What charm does this brown crispy oval kueh has? Oh well, plenty of charm and the biggest of all, it makes me and Tab lose our sleep. Lolz... we went to the Tampines Giant on several occasion but didnt get a chance to buy them.
Today, we purposely make a trip there and finally had our fill. We were delighted and fulfilled even to the extend where we die today! haha...

Crispy on the exterior layer, slight chewy and QQ on the 2nd layer.

Generous savoury filling inside! Cheap and good. $0.80 each, 4 for $3.00. The best 咸水饺 I ever had in Singapore! :-P

Siblings' Gathering @ Republic Of Steak

Another month passed and it's again time for our siblings gathering. This time round, we decided on Republic of Steak, a place where we failed to patronize the previous month due to some minor renovation work going on in the restaurant.

Here's the menu....page 1 and

page 2
Well, we have more or less decided on what to order even b4 reaching the restaurant cuz Jesper went online to download the menu as he was sooo excited about going there.

Calamansi juice and Iced lemon tea

The so called Cream of mushroom served with garlic bread.

Oh well, i guess the person planning the menu has to do some research on what is croutons! It is obviously being served with tiny bits of croutons instead of bread! Where's the garlic bread? I dun see it around! Hmm... i think it should be named as 'Cream of mushroom with cheaters garlic bread' instead ya! Lolz....

Here's my order~Breaded fish with spicy fries and coleslaw.
Mine should be the most worthwhile among all ba, Huge piece of fish fillet and the best thing is it dun smells!

Jesper's porkchop with onion rings and mixed green salad. Erm... the portion seems abit pathetic for a big eater like him.

Not forgetting Adam's BBQ chicken with garlic spaghetti and potato salad. The garlic spaghetti is not bad, except abit hard, and the potato salad isn't up to standard.
Overall i would comment the food on a 'so-so' standard. I would prefer Ashton food.

I'm so disappointed as they dun serve lava cake anymore, even though it was still on the menu. Heard from the staff that the boss will remove it from the menu soon and the 1 and onli dessert which the restaurant would serve is 'brownie'

Super pathetic portion and in fact it is the smallest stingy brownie i ever had! :-P This seems like a wasted trip for us all!

I had a bad habit recently which is to eat some snacks just before dinner. Oh well, i can take it as an appetizer or side snack! Lolz... Special Muruku

I was at Aunty Sarah's house earlier on and she gave me some home-made muruku which her sister made. I been longing to meet Aunty Sarah's sister as i heard so much about her. She's gifted in making Indian desserts and snacks especially those which are used for offerings.

A very spicy muruku with some nuts, curry leaves, long strips and small grains of muruku. Interesting!
