Was shopping for groceries at the supermarket over the weekend where the promoter was promoting meatballs. I wasn't very keen on porkballs however i caught fancy of mushroom balls. Decided to buy a pack to try it.
Normally we would add the meatballs as extra ingredients whenever cooking instant noodles. This time round, i wanted a change. Instead of the boiling or cooking balls, i tried deep fried balls. Under normal cooking method for deep fried balls, the outer skin will be crumpled therefore, in order to maintain the crispyness of the balls, below is another method.
Ingredients;
Some mushrooms balls, blanched in hot water & drained
Flour
Beaten egg
Breadcrumbs
Oil for frying
Method;
-Coat mushrooms balls with flour, shake off excess flour.
-Deep into egg mixture & let it drip off excess mixture.
-Coat with breadcrumbs.
-Continue until all mushroom balls complete the coating process.
-Deep fried in hot oil till golden brown.
-Rest on kitchen towel to remove excess oil.
-Serve with any sauces or dips.
-Enjoy!
