Tis year is slightly different as Aunt Sarah's family will be away to taiwan for holiday. However, b4 leaving, Aunt Sarah cooked some indian food for us in celebration of deepavali.
My favourite dish whenever i visit Aunt Sarah's house. Its more of a side dish, sort of like a pickles whicle is being stir fry with grind chili over low flame without adding oil to it. Yummy~licious & its very appetitising.
Tis dish is known as Kuma. Aunt Sarah cooked with mock chicken as its still her vegetarian month b4 deepavali.
I find it too spicy for mi as aunty uses black pepper, green chili for the gravy, with carrots, potatoes & mock chicken in it. Tis dish serve well with bread or prata. I always eat tis with Idli on deepavali. :P
I wanna learn muruku 1 of these days from Aunt Sarah. These home-made muruku are fantastic. Not too over powering with indian spices smell & taste. Its more of tumeric, roasted sesame seeds with a mild touch of spices. I'm loving it! haha.....
