Most chinese family will get together on new yr eve, reunion over a steamboat dinner.
Our family normally have steamboat on the 1st day of cny instead. Dad would place order for suckling pig for our family on every reunion dinner on cny eve. Yummy..............its my favourite!Other than that we had some other dishes that has special meaning to symbolise good for the year.

Meatballs Veggie Fish Maw Soup, symbolise 年年有多余的钞票Wat a yummy~licious reunion dinner we had tonite :-)
