We are feeling lazy to cook and since everyone is at home today, we decided to eat out and to celebrate Fathers' day as well. We headed to dad's favourite zhu zhao place for dinner.
Tis is the starter of the meal which Jesper ordered from somewhere else. Rojak~ oh well, not so nice afterall. Dad passed a casual remark by saying shouldn't haf ordered. Nvm, since he's the "King" nite.
Sweet and sour pork.
Pork slices with bittergourd.
Sambal sweet potato leaves~our family all time favourite.
Fried ngo hiang and fish paste in beancurd sheet~some unhealthy fried stuff. haha...
Fried prawn paste chicken~cool, this is super fantastic.
Look at the table which is full of dishes.
After dinner, i went shopping with dad and when we were on our way home, we passed by a bakery and i decided to buy a small piece of oreo cake for dad. Thought it's small and pathetic, but dad was touched. haha.... so sweet of mi rite? keke...
I'm 4 days late. Yes, its was Dragon Boat Festival 4 days ago, i was so bz that i totally forgot about it and didn't had a chance to eat any bak chang. Mum made some while i was away at work and in school and onli until today, i had my very 1st bite of my favourite nonya chang. Wishing all a belated "Duan Wu Jie" ;P
Oolong tea or any chinese tea is a must when eating bak chang. It aids in digestion and cleanse away the fats from the food.
After decorating with all the condiments, does it still looks like a rice dumpling? haha... Oh well, nowadays i adapted a style of eating rice dumplings with home-made chili paste, sweet dark sauce, fried shallots, roasted sesame seeds and toasted dried shrimps. Too bad i didn't have scallions at home, otherwise the colour would be perfect!
The World Cup fever is on, and the hotness is once every 4 years. Way before the 1st match starts, our family trend is collecting the world cup key chains.
These are all my collections, seems like all the top countries are here ya.
Day 2 of the match happens to fall on a Saturday and since Tab and I had no other place to go, we decided to spend our evening watching football matches together. Not sure of where to watch matches in Singapore, i suggested going into JB Station 1. And so we drove.............
Wow...in conjunction with the world cup fever, the cafe comes up with free key chains with every football platter ordered. I was being tempted by the key chain, after placing my order, i was disappointed as the onli key chains left were Italy and Germany. Sad.....
With the on going match....
Here comes our drinks....
Cheesy Chicken Bites to snack on.
Omelette Toast with Cheese
XO Fried Rice
We do haf our 2nd half drinks as well! haha... Its overall a good place with gd ambience, a totally gd place for us to chill out during the fever! We will be back for more.
Tabby and i decides to venture on new shopping destinations in JB. Initially we tot of driving to skudai, abit further than where we usually goes. Erm...sad to say that we lost our way and end up in a building called Tesso. After parking the car, we were hungry for food. Decided to grab a bite b4 our shopping spree. I suggested having Korean BBQ Chicken as tis seems like an "In" thing in Singapore.
Upon stepping into the restaurant....
Lookie at the tender juicy grilled chicken picture on the wall. :-P
Posing for a pic b4 the food arrives.
We love the pick couches. Soooo... comfortable.
A light snack on the house b4 while waiting for our food.
Wat's tis? Ooh... Popcorn Chicken on coke. Cool idea isn't it? A creative way of serving.
Here's the closeup on popcorn chicken. Erm... all i can say is: KFC ones taste better, tis is too dry and tasteless. haha....
A creamy mushroom pasta
Hey, i break up the popcorn chicken & coke combi, otherwise my chicken will turn cold. keke....
Tabby enjoying the food.
Here's another side dish, Spicy winglets. Crispy & delicious.
My main course, Korean BBQ chicken chop. The chicken isn't too dry and is full of flavours. I would rate it 8/10. :-P
So excited! We are on our way to Singapore's latest resort~Resort World Sentosa.
Let's pose for some pics. Say cheese...
Nearer to our destination.
Finally we are here and we are waiting for the lifts.
Entrance to the different hotels.
Needless to say, its CASINO.
Approaching Hotel Michael, tt's where we will be staying.
@ the lobby... an igloo alike structure.
The interior design of the room. The cosy comfortable bed.
LCD TV.....
Classy bathroom but it's without lock.
Elegant package of the toiletries.
And my homework and assignments. Who would haf thought that i was there to do study and not to relax. haiz... so poor thing.
Key to our room.
Drinks and beverages.
Time for a walk around the area. Outside Hotel Michael there's 2 statue of Adam & Eve but they are the "fat version". Look, they are so big and fat!
Approcahing the "High Class" shopping area. All the branded stuff can be found here.
Look, wat a cool sight when i was on my way to school from sentosa. Tis is a sight which i snapped at 6.50am in the morning when i walked toward the casino. With the sentional AV motion pics, sounds of nature can be heard as well.
Oh, the convention center is here as well.
Hey, entering the casino seems like entering control station at the mrt station. haha....
Back to RWS after my class and we decided to grab a bite b4 we venture round the place. I had a fried chicken ramen at koufu foodcourt.
Wow... so many tourists....
Back to the hotel room to study, a refreshment break for myself. I need caffine to stay awake. haha.......
An entertaining show by 2 entertainer outside Universal Studio. Its too packed and since we haven got our ticket, we decided to head back to our hotel. We stop by a 7-11 to purchase our dinner.
Here's i have~a bread and a doughnut. Tabby had a sandwich and a nasi briyani.
Here's where we sat to enjoy our dinner and it has a great view facing the swimming pool.
Nite falls and we are having a party.
The good thing about tis hotel is that there's an ice machine at the lift lobby on every level and the best is my room is the nearest to the ice machine. haha... Nat & Mel are playing with the ice-cubes.
We are waiting to check out of the hotel.
The godma & god-daughter saying CHEEZE..........
Wow...tt's lots of stuff for a 2-3 day stay at RWS. Hey pple, tt's not the end, we are heading to Universal Studio! How to go home without having fun at the universal studio?! haha....
